Brian Seyferth, the visionary founder of Brian Seyferth & Associates, brought a unique blend of engineering expertise and architectural creativity to the firm. A graduate of McGill University in Montreal, PQ, Brian earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Applied Mathematics. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver, equipping him with a multidisciplinary foundation that shaped his career.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in multiple states and as an Architect in Colorado, Brian spent eight years as a Project Architect and Project Engineer before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey. In 1988, he established Brian Seyferth & Associates, driven by a passion to meet the specialized needs of industrial and corporate clients.
Throughout his tenure, Brian played an integral role in firm management, project oversight, and the design and preparation of construction documents. His commitment to excellence set the standard for the firm's operations and growth.
In early 2023, Brian announced his retirement, expressing a heartfelt desire to pass on his legacy to the next generation. His vision and dedication continue to inspire the team at Garcia Cocha Engineering (GCE), shaping the firm's future while honoring its storied past.
In 2023, Brian Seyferth & Associates transitioned to new leadership under Luis R. Cocha and Lilian M. Garcia, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. With over eight years of experience at the firm, Luis expressed his desire to carry forward the legacy built by founder Brian Seyferth. Partnering with his wife, Lilian—a seasoned Civil/Environmental Engineer with extensive industry expertise—they prepared to acquire the company, bringing fresh energy and a shared vision for its future.
The couple found inspiration in their growing family, particularly their newborn son, Tiago L. Garcia Cocha. In honor of this new phase of life and leadership, they renamed the firm Garcia Cocha Engineering (GCE). The name symbolizes their personal connection to the business while maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence.
